I bought this truck as my first vehicle from a friend of mine. Was in excellent condition and almost completely stock. It drives great and has little to no mechanical issues. The interior is compact but the space is used well enough. The clutch and transmission shift fine. the suspension has gotten awfully bouncy in the almost 30 years it’s been drove, but it’s not a huge deal. Overall it’s an excellent truck, almost indestructible. You can thrash these things and they’ll still run fine years on end. If you find a 90s ford ranger in good condition, ofc test drive check for any issues but if there aren’t any big ones, I highly recommend getting one . They’re super cheap and fun.Jul 25, 2022

Great overall vehicle, my father bought it new in 1993 and gave it to me when I turned 16, and I have been driving it for 3 years now. It has 180,000 miles on it today. Really love this truck, it is great in even the harshest winters. There is no rust anywhere to be found, even though half the time it is parked outside, even in the winter and it never fails to start. It does not get very good gas mileage, but it is still a great daily driver.Nov 18, 2013

it needs a paint job, it runs great. it is a four cylinder. Has a good bit of power for
it. It cost me $900 to buy it. It takes $35 to fill it up. Can haul 2,00 pounds. This

Ford Rangers are very reliable trucks. They handle great in snow and on ice. The
2wd's are even great in the mud. The motors are very reliable. Mine has a little
over 237k on the 4.0v 6, and its never been rebuilt and it doesnt burn a drop of oil.Oct 19, 2011

Best Vehicle ever owned looking to totally restore it this summers. great little truck
lots of power for a 4 cylinder pulled out a 1978 bronco that has sat for years with
just 300 xtra pounds in the back for traction. put new clutch in all new bearings in

My brake lights do not light up when the brake pedal is depressed. It is only a four
cylinder so it doesnt have to much power but it does get excellent mpg. It does
look very stylish. i just have to drop a 350 small block in it and un-ghetto some of
the things i have done on it. But it is very loud with dual exhaust and glass packs
on each pipe and no muffler or catalytic converter. Enough to make the windows
on a cop car vibrate wen u drive by topping second gear out. its only got 135,000.Jul 24, 2010

No top speed.Fun to drive especially if you enjoy driving stick. but it will not go fast at all. cost of ownership is definitely cheap and i would recomend to anyone. Fuel efficiency is definitely great especially for a truck

Factory motor is good but i would upgrade. Easy to lift and maintenance is easy.
Lots of add ons to buy on the truck. Head turner for sure. Last as long as you

my 1993 ford ranger 2wd is a great little truck. runs great but could still use some
work in my opinion. although it is 2wd it does really well in the snow. i plan on

performce was great in it day,acceleration great in it day,brake good in its day handling good for a truck, replaced, waterpump, radiater and ac went out in 04 heatcore in 06. i have only run this car in to the ground and it still going putting only oil and gas in it. 170,000 miles fuel injecter went in 07, i've haven't change atf fluid in 80,000 its has oil coolint and tranny leaks and it get 12 mile to the gaoline high way but it still work. brake boost in late 09 Dec 29, 2009

it is a 4 banger and has rust all over the body but it gets great gas mileageand it is 4wd it was a gift so i really cant complain but all and all it ahs been a solidas a rock truck that just keeps on going

The best Mini Truck by far!!!! It is a great little truck. It gets awesome gas mileage! And it has 351,000 on the original engine and still ticking! :-) It is fun to drive and accelerates fairly quick considering it is a four cylinder. i love my ranger it has done me great, it has gotten me great gas mileage. it has great preformance with its 4.0 and five speed. me and my dad use it to haul big round bales all the time each weighing about 400 lbs each. over all i really have nothing bad to say i wish it had a few things but im happy. oh ya did i mention it has seven inches of lift, three body and four on the suspentionAug 22, 2008

Great truck overall but the A4LD transmission sucks. Great performance off-road can go through mud pits at 40 that bigger trucks have to crawl through. I put 31 inch tires on it so my milage around town as suffered slightly as it gets 15-16 but on the highway I get about 22Aug 07, 2008

A good car to learn in, I didn't even have time to get in an accident in it considering things kept breaking on their own...first the radio...then the four wheel drive then the steering... then the breaks, the breaks were kinda scary. A good truck for practicality tho and it got descent mileage. A great truck for taking stuff to the dump. Definitely a bit of body roll in a corner, and not much to speak of considering the engine. its a 4 cylinder truck so the performance isnt great but it gets good gas milege and itll hold its own and u cant beat it in realiabilty im pretty sure its gonna run forever provided i dont drive it into anything it does have a few squeks and other random sounds but its also got a few years on it so im not suprised other then replacing some brake components every thing else works great except the clutch which i think is original anyways and i drive it hard but thats soon to be fixed if you ever wanna goood little truck which is good on gas and still lots of fun to drive i have to sugest a ford ranger with the five speed manuel Jul 10, 2008

Not really MY car, but its my brothers and i used to drive it a bunch. Keeps going no matter how little gets fixed on the dam thing. Rear suspension is falling apart, the springs are coming through the bed and the oil doesnt get changed. STILL DRIVESMar 27, 2008

my truck is fun and i love it i drive it home from school almost every weekend. i put a cluch in at about 150, the onwer before me got it stuck and fried the cluch, and new tires at the sametime but besides for that it has not ever given me a problem. it is purple and has a topper. i need to replace the shocks soon they are about done in. it is dependable and i am going to drive it till it wont go any more. This was my first vehicle. Given it's size, age, and vehicle class, had good acceleration and power with good mileage from the 4.0L V6. I've driven the smaller engine sizes and there's a significant difference between the two. I put about 30,000 miles on it in the 4 or 5 years I had it, and put really worked it, and never had any problems. Not the best mileage or the most power or best looking mid-size in its class, but very solid marks all around.Mar 20, 2008

IT was a great truck built solid, this one had a 4.0L V-6 that would get up a move for a light duty truck, great low end gears to help you not get stuck...lost it to a wreck in Laramie Wyoming at WyoTech was "totaled" but i fired it up and drove it back to school...damn good pick-upJan 24, 2008
