Great car when new. Very mechanically sound. Fuel mileage is great on highway good in city. Very responsive and handles nice. Car always starts no matter the outside temp. Car never left me stranded until the 190,000 mile mark. At 200,000 now and still running.Mar 23, 2012

Despite the year of the car the Performance was amazing never had a mins problem @ all with it.. It was built actually pretty good for a chevy. I liked the Appearance of it looked very sporty inside and out. The sound system was very good for a chevy and for the year... Gas mileage was pretty even though the motor was 2.4 L v6 definately alot of power to plower thru anything. Definately used to love this car to bad the motor didnt last even after the 2nd one... but then I get one that had somewhat high kms but i didnt drive all over Ontario with it... Jan 28, 2012

the car was very old and rusted and basicly falling apart, the air didn't work and we had to rig up a toggle switch for the windshield wipers so they only had one speed. not a very reliable car at all.Apr 06, 2010

Zippy Little car works really good in summer and all year round has some problems but what car doesn't cost to own and maintain is minimal and is very fun to drive also a very good first car if i do say so myselfJan 11, 2010

my 90 4dr 2.2L Cavalier was sweet.Find a car with that old 4cylinder engine.They run forever! bought it with 120k.brought it home.changed the oil W/O filter,and drove it to 142k miles.ran great.slid around a bit in the snow,but thats fun!Dec 14, 2009

I like the speed, horsepower, trim, upholstery, sound system, and the low growl of that V6, and yes, this baby is FUN to drive! she handles likes she's on tracks!and the 1990 version is the rarest of the family so I'm lucky to have found her.Aug 10, 2009

I've only seen a handful of wagons on the road, but none quite similar. Metallic Gun-Metal Grey riding on 16' ROH_InternationaL rims. Tinted windows, black cloth interior, with a system to cover up the poor performance. The suspension is poor, due to it still being stock. the previous owner blew the head gasket, so i rebuild the motor. i did not choose to rebuild the bottom end of the motor, which i regret due to the fact that it now burns oil from poor piston ring quality.Oct 18, 2008

My car needs some work done to it. However, I love this car. I enjoy driving it every chance I get. It has awesome pickup and is really hard to drive 25 mph. One of the things it needs is the sunroof fixed so I can drive it in the rain.Aug 26, 2008

First car. Thank God I didn't get something nicer. I bagged the piss out of this car. It took a beating and kept goin. 5 years of serious abuse and it finally died as I brought it in to pick up my 94 Talon. The following week, it was in the used car log with a yellow revolving light on the roof with "$1.00 AS IS" painted on the windshield. Haha... RIP lil buddy.May 20, 2008

The car has a 4 Cylinder 2.2l engine, in my opinion, you push down on the gas pedal, your going to move, and it dose not matter where you are! I personally love this car, and I do own one. sadly i have almost driven this car to death... mine has overlapped on the odometer twice and I'm back up to 28,000 miles. however, considering the performance of the is car i plan to buy a 2000 cavalier shortly, hopefully it will make me proud! Lets see bought the car may of 06' cuz i wrecked my other two. Needed a car before graduation, not much time to choose. Some problems since I had it, but all normal maintence that never really got done. Somewhat better shape then when I bought it. Just picked the car up a while ago, it had a 3.4 engine swap in it but the previous owner dropped a 2.8 in it to sell it.
The car right now is lowered, has a bulley stage 2 clutch, and a few other little goodies that liven it up.Dec 24, 2007

my 1990 chevy cavalier started running poorly, it started "hiccuping" for a lack of better words, and seemed to be losing power.
pulled the cat. it was fine. replaced the fuel filter, didnt help. began to get worse, until now uit just simply wont stay running. It starts briefly only for a second, then dies.
