I like these little trucks I built this one with a hot rod 4.3 V-6 with a 5 speed. Upgrades to suspension,brakes,rear differential, 8in corvette wheels. They sell for low money to get a decent truck to make a awesome hot rod.Apr 20, 2012

this truck was good with a 6 inch lift on it and it may not have speed but it was great in the mud!!! i have hit deep potholes and i have gotten it stuck and i still got the truck out. there was roll bars in the box and a pioneer deck with two 12's in the back. i miss this truckNov 26, 2011

Very nice acceleration especially with the 5 speed, 4wd works pretty well most of the time, very fun truck to drive but suspension is a little rough, the fun part is the truck and I were born on the same year and month!May 06, 2010

It was a free truck that needed alot of body work. It was on it's 2nd motor and 3rd trans. Had over 270,000 miles on it and was a farm truck all of it's life. It sat in one spot for 3 years... put a new battery in it and it started like a champ!Jan 13, 2010

This is me and the first car I bought in the US, more than a year ago. Had the S10 mainly to get around. Had a new engine, new paint and upgraded wheels (I guess) Thought I was gonna use it for towing the bike to various race track, but ended up using the bike more because of endless traffic, gas consumption, the convenience to park and get around. Well of course you already know the positive factors of riding motorcycles, so I'll stop here. I sold the truck and got myself a Bmw 3-series the older body.Dec 22, 2009

I love my truck. It's comfortable, it's lasted through many tough years with me. It's reliable, easy to fix and I like what happens when I hit the gas pedal.

Dont really like havin a really small motor (2.5 Iron Duke) but love everything else havin hydros and not havin to put 100 in gas every two weeksis awesome. It is a fun truck to drive when hittin switches all damn day!

I loved my truck!!! It was a great first auto... It was a torque
monster and even though it was an automatic it could bark
second and third gear!!! It was the most fun to drive in the

this is actually the prototype for the typhoon, the extreme and the syclone. in 1989 there were only 37 produced and today there are only 7 registered. it came stock with a 262 or a 4.3L but i replaced it with a 350 aluminum. not much room under the hood with the supercharger so i had to get a new hood so i thought might as well be a cowell hood. so i put i cowell 6 inch on it. i fel pretty lucky to be able to own one of these amazing little trucks. drives more like a go kkart than a truck. it has a sprot tuned suspension which came on it stock. havent rly messed with anything besides the new engine and the drivetrain and tranny. other than the body that is of course. did all the work myself so if it looks good dont be afraid to tell me. its a huge ego boostAug 06, 2009

shes has a 4.3 liter rebuilt engine with about 40,000 miles on it. last october she was given a new paintjob and all engine repairs were made. two main problems are gas mileage and the low idle it holds causing it to sometimes shut off when idling too long. otherwise a fantastic vehicle!Aug 03, 2009

I drove it nearly 200,000 miles. It has been across the US 5 times. It was a very fun vehicle and extremely practical while attending school 300 miles from home. It was good transportation and great at hauling and moving my things and everyone else's!Jun 27, 2009

This truck is what i wanted. Small but packs a hard punch. It has been trough many tough times and is still kickin. It gets semi good gas mileage and it has a few minor issues to be fixed but over all it ias a fun truck to drive. I have put time into this truck and it all worked out.Aug 18, 2008

When I bought this truck back 5 years ago, it was a work truck...and it LOOKED like one! The paint was faded, seats were torn, rims were standard s-10 ugly rims, lights were fogged up, and the underneath was completely covered in GA red clay dirt. Now, I have replaced the rims with a set of chrome IROC Rims, new tires, new electric blue paint, body kit, clear tailights, bumper/side, and xenon blue headlights and a custom grill. I put in a rebuilt 4.3L Engine about a couple of years ago. Everything inside the hood has been replaced except for the transmission. I replaced the bench seats with some bucket seats, replaced some of the dash, and put in some new wiring for the truck. All-in-all it is a kick ass truck!Jul 25, 2008

89' Chevy S10 Tahoe Hazards/Blinkers/Dash Backlights Continually Flashing
I have an 89' Chevy S10 Tahoe with the 4.3L and automatic transmission. My battery died while I was at work the other day and after getting a jump, everything started up fine, but now my right turn signal on the dash is blinking, my hazards flash when my lights aren't on, the backlights for the Guage cluster flash, as well as the clock on the radio. When I turn the lights on, the flashing stops, but the clicking of the signal continues. This issue persists even when the vehicle is turned off, and unhooking the battery is the only way I've found to get it to stop. I replaced the round flasher fuze under the driver's side already, and haven't found any shorted wires. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? I can't find a solution on Google or other forum posts.
