I love everything about this car. It's the Porsche that comes to mind when thinking about Porsche cars. Bullet-proof air-cooled engine, great handling (once you learn to throttle steer into the turns) and great stopping power with massive disc brakes. Lightweight at only 2700 pounds, this car is like driving a steroid powered go-kart.Oct 02, 2013

excellent brakes and unmatched handling. German engineering built a
functional
car that was fun to drive in town, in competition or, on long trips. Yes, it is
stiffer
than most cars but, that is part of the performance and handling. Swapping
out the stock seat for an OMP race seat made you one with the car. The slate
blue color and
style of this car was very appealing and never got old. Cost to own was
reasonable as long as you are willing to keep it maintained. With 25 mpg
freeway

I recently retired but this car has kept me young. My wife hates the hair blowing in the wind, and I live for it, so we now drive most everywhere in her car :-( . This car deserves more and loves to perform! Sep 01, 2012

So much fun to drive, solid handling. Felt like it was
built by Zeus. Lived up too my expectations and more.
Beautiful sound. Could happily live with a Porky Targa,
I want to retire with one of these in my garage parked
up next to my Bugs. God Bless Ferdinand Porsche.

I bought this car as a light eproject well, $7k later it has finally
met my expectation, partly. There is more I can and will do to
it. There is really nothing I dislike other than It has a salvage
certificate in the carfax and the AC, its terrible to say the least.

This is a great car. P-Cars of this era have the best design and esthetics's. They are quite finicky but with proper care can be very reliable. She has 77k on her and a grip of aftermarket parts.
I don't reallly own the car, Just the maintanence and upkeep.
I take the good with the bad, don't have to pay for the car, but get to use it all the time.Sep 18, 2008

This car has extreamly good handling for it's time. The ability for a rear-wheel drive car to turn this efficiently at high speeds is still unsurpassed by most car manufacturers more than twenty years later. Even in the 60s and 70s this particular brand was on the cutting edge of aerodinamics and still is today and with a top speed of 100 mph you will need them. These cars have also been known tobe very durable; in fact, I would use this car as a work car because, I have seen them with over threehundred thousand miles on them.Jun 22, 2008

Did Porsche identify any tire that could installed instead of the out of production 185/70VR15 for 1984 Carrera?
1984 911 Carrera has as standard Porsche Rims the front tire as 185/70VR15 and rear tire 215/VR15. These tires are not longer produced, therefore I need a siutable set of tires still in production. Is there any suitable set I can install and it is acceptable by National Transport Authority?
