The most notable change to the 1982 Corolla was an upgrade from a three-speed automatic to a four-speed, which was unusual for an economy car of that era. Otherwise, the 1982 Corolla remained largely the same from the previous year.
The 1982 Toyota Corolla came in many body styles with several trim levels. The two- and four-door sedan came as a standard, DX or E5. The hardtop coupe came as a standard or SR5, and the sports coupe came as a SR5. The wagon came as a standard or DX. The liftback came as a standard and SR5. The 1982 Toyota Corolla had a 75-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.
Owners of the 1982 Corolla speak very highly of it, some even saying it is the best car they ever owned. The cars are reliable and need very few repairs if maintained regularly. Some drivers complain that rust can be a problem, and that the seats are not very comfortable.

Overall its an excellent car for home use.
its a hobby for me put these type of model into its company condition.
i really love this model.
it is a heavy duty car.

this is my first car that I bought with my own (small) salary...
the reason why I choose this type of Corolla, because I think this DX is never leaked of time, never dies...
easily maintenanced, relatively cheap spareparts and easy to find (all mechanics that I know said the same opinion like this about Corolla DX)
here is my opinion ...there's lots of new car (produced above 1990) are in good condition , well kept engine, with sparkling paint....its so ordinary :p
But when I saw a car car produced before 1990 are in good shape and condition, well kept engine, and sparkling paint....its so eyecatching and extraordinary \m/ O \m/

alasan kenapa gue pilih ni mobil, soalnya ni mobil kayaknya gak ada matinya man, perawatan mudah, sparepart relatif murah & gampang carinya (hampir semua mekanik bengkel bilangnya gitu)
lagian,, kalo liat mobil baru keluaran taun 2000-an kondisi kinclong...tu mah udah biasa

The Toyota Corolla has the highest reliability of any car i've ever driven. This model in particular has run for 30 Years and is still going!!! For a young driver it is safe and shall get you from A to B without a hassle but, it wont get you there and 100mph. However the Fuel Economy, Maintenance, Registration and Insurance costs are very good for a first car buyer and i strongly recommend this carr for first time drivers and/or young driversOct 30, 2011

brakes are to small and the suspension little
weak i love the damn thing cuz i got mine for 10

I don't like the American bumper they are too long,I prefer the Japanese type. The braking system is good when I upgraded it.yes its a fun car to drive especially when I am going side way. When going side way it really shows how well it handle.May 05, 2010

Not very fast, it's old, but I like how it looks, and I think as I
improve some of the parts it should be quite enjoyable to
drive. I've had to replace/fix some things that have worn out,

I love my car!!! It only cost me $400 and it had actually never been driven on the freeway. It gives good gas mileage and it dosent cost much to maintain. This car wa made for me =) I actually get alot of offers for it but I love it too much to give it up.Aug 27, 2009

I own an F-250, V10, gas hog of a pick up truck and when gas hit 3 bucks a gallon I bought an '82 corolla for 500 bucks.......uglyist car Id ever seen (rust looked like chickenpox) but it ran like a charm! Had a bit of trouble with the starter but I had it replaced very cheaply and now its unstoppable this little car is great, fun to drive,good on gas and now after primer and paint not quite as ugly as before!!! But still the type of car that would would make an "I love Bingo" bumper sticker feel right at home
Since Ive been driving it I have had countless people offer me more then double what I paid for itJan 30, 2009

* Performance – acceleration, braking and handling just looks like an old skool rally car
* Appearance – both interior and exterior styling still looks good till now
* Cost of Ownership – gas and maintenance are not to expensive if you want to use for your daily car

It has lasted 31 years, and I think it will last another decade. With routine
maintenance, the car surprises all passengers with better-than-expected
acceleration and the maneuverability through traffic. A fun
weekend car, but not expected to cross the country. Don't count on a

Bought the car for $1,200 used, put 80K miles on it and sold it for $600. The RWD worked well in snow, got good mileage, and was relatively easy to keep running despite the fact that it had a million miles of vacuum lines that leaked that made diagnostics a PITA. I LOVED THIS CAR!!! it was the first car I ever owned and it was awesome, the best car you could have. However, I was involved in a car accident and lost my little love car. I miss it so much, but I guess everyone misses there first car. Nothing will ever replace that car, it was the greatest. Toyotas are good cars!Mar 16, 2007

I'm the second owner of my Toyota Corolla Tercel. The first owner was a lady who drove it to church on Sundays, to work every day until she retired, made two trips to the East coast, and one to the West coast. She gave it regular maintance since it was first driven off the lot.
