Was the car of my dreams.. 304 with 3spd on the floor, had
some mild head work done and was painted day glow orange
with the T stripe on the hood and it really turned heads.
After blowing 3 3.54 rears I put a 2.67 in, it was a pig off the
line but it came to life over 30 mph, at 80 it was insane, and
the best thing is I got 26 mpg on a road trip. Nov 16, 2009

This is one car I really miss. With her stock engine, she could take almost any thing off of the line. She had the body of a woman ( kind of like the old sting ray ). It was arm strong steering and crank down windows but I loved the car all the same and wish I still had her today. The body was in great shape as well as the interior and she could turn heads.Oct 20, 2009

My dads car that weve been restoring and rebuilding for the last 8 or so yrs. looks incredible as it is as in current body work and lines. almost done just needs a lil more body work, paint, interior and minor details. The paint is goin to be killer were painting it like the old AMX racing car that Donohue raced with the blue, white, and red logo and a bunch of decals.Jun 23, 2008

I own a 1974 Amc Javelin Amx. I have recently replaced all of the hardware,hoses, cylinders and the resivior for the brakes on all four corners ( Power drum all around ) The problem I am having is that the rear brakes continue to lock up . When I release the presure on the bleed valve then they unlock until you apply the brakes again. Any thoughts ?
As noted above, all new brake parts on every corner. I have even disconected the e-brake and they still lock up.The old resevoir was the type that would be found on a car with disc brakes in the front ( mine has drum brakes all around ) . I replaced it with a unit that has equal brake fluid amounts in both sides of the resevoir for the front and back.

Car wont stay running
Starts then acts like not getting gas and dies. Only idles right a couple seconds and only if it sets for about a day. Fuel pressure to carb is good and has clean gas and good air flow no vapor lock im told. Im not entirely mechanically inclined...
