Few models offer the range of choices found in the 2025 Hyundai TUCSON. With 11 total configurations, including three available powertrains, the TUCSON gives buyers the flexibility to strike the right balance of efficiency, features, and price.

Three distinct, fuel-efficient powertrains
The TUCSON with gas power combines traditional performance with modern economy
At its core, the TUCSON is a traditional gas-powered vehicle that's also economical. It comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. With this set up, you won’t be lacking for on-ramp acceleration. It also comes standard with Idle Stop and Go, which shuts off the engine when you’re at a standstill to help save fuel at long lights.
With front-wheel drive (FWD), The TUCSON earns up to an EPA-estimated 33 mpg on the highway[1]. All-wheel drive (AWD) is also available for added all-season confidence while still returning a very respectable 24/30/26 mpg city/highway/combined[1].
Get more power while using less fuel with the TUCSON Hybrid
You could also up the ante with the TUCSON Hybrid, which offers more power and better fuel economy. It pairs a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor and 1.49 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery for a combined 231 horsepower. All TUCSON Hybrid models come standard with AWD, and include three drive modes: Normal, Sport, and Snow mode. There’s also a unique Baby mode, which allows for a smoother acceleration from a stop, perfect for keeping the little one sleeping in the back seat.
The TUCSON Hybrid delivers up to 35 mpg combined, and the efficiency-oriented Blue trim can reach 38 mpg[2]. While you don't need to plug it in, the hybrid system still brings key electrification benefits. A Green Zone mode lets you drive for short stints on electric power alone, and you can use the paddle shifter to adjust regenerative braking to add range. The hybrid motor also enables Hyundai's e-motion driving dynamics, which adapts the torque output of the electric motor for better handling, like in cornering.
The Hyundai TUCSON PHEV tops the range for both power and economy
The TUCSON PHEV delivers a combined 268 horsepower, thanks to a 13.8-kWh battery powering the 97-hp electric motor. It can get up to 32 miles of all-electric range when fully charged[3], and can recharge in under two hours using a Level 2 charger[4]. In normal driving, the TUCSON PHEV gets the equivalent of 77 MPGe, and even when the battery is depleted, it still returns 35 mpg combined[3].

TUCSON SE
With a starting price south of $30,000[5], the gas-only TUCSON SE comes well-equipped with tech and advanced safety features. Highlights include automatic LED headlights and turn signals, a reclining 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Hyundai also includes a full suite of advanced driver-assistance systems with its SmartSense package. Smart Cruise Control lets drivers set their preferred following distance from the vehicle ahead and will automatically adjust speed to maintain that distance, even bringing the vehicle to a stop if needed[6]. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning Detection uses cameras to monitor the road ahead for other vehicles, bikes, and even pedestrians. If it detects a likely collision, it warns you first, then applies the brakes automatically if needed[7].
Similarly, the standard Blind-Spot Collision Warning monitors your blind spots and alerts you if a vehicle is there — or approaching quickly from an adjacent lane — when you use your turn signal[8]. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist uses the same sensors on either side as you’re backing out of a parking spot, actively searching for approaching vehicles, and can apply the brakes if it looks like there's a risk of impact[9].
TUCSON SEL / Blue
The SEL trim on gas and PHEV TUCSONs (or the Blue trim on the Hybrid) takes the base SE and adds even more features. Heated side mirrors help prevent them from fogging up on humid mornings, and dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats help ensure you’re comfortable no matter what the weather brings. An eight-way power driver’s seat makes getting comfy effortless, and the smart liftgate with auto-open can recognize when you’re standing near the back of the vehicle with your key and will automatically open, even if your arms are full of groceries.
The Blue trim is the TUCSON Hybrid’s base trim, and the equivalent of SEL in terms of features.
TUCSON SEL Convenience
The gas or PHEV SEL Convenience trim brings even more luxury features. It starts with a power tilt-and-slide sunroof, and includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and H-Tex-wrapped seats. You also get a stylish touch with LED mirror-mounted turn signals, as well as access to Hyundai Pay, an in-car payment system that lets you securely pay for things like parking at thousands of locations across the country[10].
TUCSON XRT
For adventure-seekers, the gas-only XRT trim is the sportier, off-road-inspired trim with exclusive 18-inch wheels, unique side cladding, and detailed touches like a dark chrome-accented grille and XRT-embossed seats.
TUCSON Limited
Step up to the Limited trim (available across all powertrains) and the luxury components really start adding up. The panoramic sunroof enables a wide-open view of the sky, while acoustic-laminated front side windows help you enjoy the view in quiet serenity. Both front and rear seats are heated, and the fronts get ventilation to keep you comfortable in the summer months. A 12-inch head-up display gives you access to crucial information without having to take your eyes off the road, while Hyundai’s Blind-Spot View Monitor shows you exactly what’s in the lane next to you, conveniently displayed on the instrument cluster[11].
Regardless of which powertrain you pick, the Limited trim includes Highway Driving Assist, which works to reduce driver fatigue on long drives by not only maintaining the distance to the vehicle in front of you but also keeping you centered in the lane. It will slow down all the way to a stop if needed and can start again on its own if traffic starts moving again[12].
Advanced Rear Occupant Alert uses motion detection to sense if small children are in the back seat and will repeatedly honk the horn at you if you’ve left the car without them[13].
You also get Remote Smart Parking Assist for hands-free parking at the touch of a button, even if you’re outside the car[14], a surround-view monitor and a premium Bose Audio System.
TUCSON N Line
Those looking exclusively for the hybrid powertrain unlock the sporty N Line trim. The TUCSON Hybrid N Line comes with trim-specific 19-inch wheels, a unique front fascia and grille, and sport-inspired details such as the headliner, pedals, and twin-tip exhaust.

[8] Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) assists the driver by warning of other cars in the blind spot region. It senses the rear side territory of the vehicle when it is traveling over 20 mph. There are limitations to the function, range, detection and clarity of the system. It will not detect all vehicles or objects in the blind spot. Its operation depends on the size, distance, angle and relative speed difference between your car and other cars. BCW may not operate if sensors are obscured in any way. Do not rely exclusively on BCW. BCW is a supplemental system and the driver must still be attentive and exercise caution when driving. It is the driver's responsibility to be aware of the surroundings and ensure it is clear before changing lanes or directions. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
[9] Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) can alert the driver of a potential collision by providing an audible warning and/or applying braking. RCCA is active when the vehicle is in reverse and operating at low speeds. Never rely exclusively on RCCA. RCCA cannot prevent all collisions and may not provide alerts or braking in all conditions. [11] Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) assists driver in changing lanes by providing a live view of the blind spots on either side of the vehicle and an audible alert if another vehicle is detected. Turn signal must be activated and other system limitations apply. Do not rely exclusively on BVM. It is the driver's responsibility to be aware of the surroundings and ensure it is clear before changing lanes or directions. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
[12] Highway Driving Assist (HDA), is for highway use only and can help keep the vehicle centered in its lane while maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road and should not be used in poor weather, heavy or varying traffic, or on winding or slippery roads. HDA will not work under all circumstances and will not prevent loss of control. Driver remains responsible to slow or stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. [13] When the vehicle is parked and the engine has been turned off, the Advanced Rear Occupant Alert (AROA) can help to alert the driver if it detects movement from a child or pet. Upon exiting and locking the vehicle, AROA may provide visual, audible, and/or Bluelink alerts if the interior overhead sensor detects movement. AROA is not a substitute for driver attentiveness. Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle. Bluelink notification requires a Bluelink-equipped vehicle with an active Bluelink account. See Owner's Manual for further details and limitations.
[14] Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) can remotely help park the vehicle. However, several factors can impact RSPA performance. RSPA may not function correctly if one or more of the parking sensors is damaged, dirty or covered or if weather conditions (heavy rain, snow or fog) interfere with sensor operation.
