I like pretty much everything about it! Sounds good, looks good, well built and it is holding its value amazingly well. Fuel economy is the only down side but even that is ok. Fun to drive but with 5 door hatch practicality!

The MKIV R32 was a brilliant car. It has more than adequate power and handles like a dream. It is comfortable, stylish and a blast to drive. It has everything that I want in a car and it could not be more fun to drive.

The handling it excellent and the performance is good even with no tuning. One of the best reasons for buying this car is the sound. As nice sound as the older VR6, but with much better performance. The interior has high standard and the seats are lovely. If you want a car to use as a toy and also want a comfortable long ranged car, this is the car for you!

Building on the success of the sports GTI trim package for its popular Golf hatchback model, Volkswagen introduced the limited-edition R32, which was offered for sale in the U.S. for only a year. And, in fact, the German automaker took the Golf GTI and raised the bar quite a bit, essentially turning the car into a luxury sports package in a hatchback skin.
At the core of the two-door R32 was a critically acclaimed 3.2-liter, double-overhead-cam V6 engine that pumped out 240 horsepower and could drive the car from 0 to to 60 mph in just under six seconds. The V6 was linked to an updated six-speed manual transmission that shifted more smoothly; an automatic transmission was not available.
The R32 came with VW's 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, which improved traction and handling on the road. It sat about an inch lower than the Golf and Golf GTI on which it was based, and had a more streamlined appearance, thanks to special rims and a sport body kit. A sport-tuned suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels were also part of the package.
The list of standard features for the R32 was extensive, and included power windows, power brakes, power door locks, dual airbags, heated front sport seats, a tilt/telescopic steering column, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, a leather-trimmed shift knob, an automatic climate control system, a lighted entry system, a power sunroof, cruise control, traction control, a dual exhaust system, an anti-theft alarm system, and a premium Monsoon audio system.
Drivers commented in a positive way on everything from the R32's styling, interior features, and streamlined appearance to its suspension, speed, and even its beefy exhaust note. Fuel economy is noted by some as a negative point, and a number of drivers expressed a wish that the car had a bit more power.
