Toyota Yaris-the best car in the world. Fun to drive, very good quality , nice to drive in town, small fuell consumption, good stability on road. Acceleration for that type of car is good, braking and handling-very good. Today ,Tomorrow,Toyota

This was my first car, bought because I was on a tight budget, and needed the most reliable car I could afford. And this car was certainly reliable. I bought my 1.0L Yaris GS when it was 3 1/2 years old, and owned it for 4 1/2 more, and it never needed anything fixed. Literally the only thing I had to do to it (apart from routine servicing) was change the front brake pads once. It needed absolutely nothing else in the time I had it, not even tyres! This little car was solid. But there were downsides, of course. The 1.0L engine, despite it being a very good 1.0L, was frustratingly slow, and had to be thrashed simply to keep up with the traffic around you. The image of the car meant that all other drivers assumed that you were an old granny driving really slowly, and so pulled out in front of you with monotonous regularity. And then there was what I call the "Toyota Syndrome". Yes the car was reliable, worked perfectly and did everything you could reasonably expect a small car to do. But there was no "spark" there. No X-factor that made you want to drive it. It was, in a word, boring. Clark Kent without Superman underneath. If you want your car to stir your emotions, then this, and virtually all other Toyotas, is a definite no. I am giving this car 3* because it really does not produce any emotions in me at all, positive or negative. It was simply a very reliable tool to get me from A to B, nothing more.

I bought this car second hand and have it now for almost two years. I've got no complaints about it. It's reliable, even though it's outside 24-7, and apart from some standard maintenance, nothing has gone wrong so far. It's also quite cheap to buy and run. Due to it's size it's also a very good city car, easy to park, easy to maneuver. You can also transport quite a bit of goods in it, if you fold up the back seats.

Brilliant Tax, Insurance, MPG and maintenance costs. Not nearly a supercar, but still got a little nip to it. Comfortable, surprisingly spacious for a small car, apart from the little boot. Never had any major problems with it, never broke down. Will get you to Devon and back on the M5 no problems. Overall, a top car for anyone with a tight pocket like me!

This review is of the 5 door Yaris T3. Overall I have had a very positive experience of this little city car. Its I a fun car to drive with a sporty feeling to the gearshift and steering. It is relatively fast as long as you keep the revs above 3500 it is very nippy. I did a 150 miles in this little car and it was very comfy and at no point did I feel like I was in a small, easy to park, city car and it managed an amazing 49mpg at 70 mph. As for its carrying capacity, okay, the standard boot is a bit small but it can cope with the weekly shop. However if you drop one seat it can easily cope with three sets of skis and boots (from my own experience). As I am normally driving i have on good authority from my friends that the rear seats are spacious enough even for two 6 foot tall guys. If its a short journey 3 people can survive in the back. The build quality is exactly enough not to much or too little, just what you would want and need. If I could change anything it would be to make the headlamps better and make the indicator clicker louder as it is easy for an indicator not to cancel and not be heard. It is fairly robust and if something does take a prang (ie a bumper) it simply pops back into place. Overall its a great little car that can be driven to work or for fun.
