Used Scion tC for Sale Nationwide
Scion tC Overview
The first true Scion (the xA and xB were originally Japanese rebadges), the 2-door Scion tC was a sporty hatchback that debuted in 2004. It heralded the establishment of Toyota's youth-oriented division, an attempt to create affordable entry-level cars that would build brand loyalty among Generation Y consumers.
The Scion tC took the place of Toyota's Celica in the sports compact segment. It features a sports-tuned suspension and a 2.4-liter, 161-hp DOHC I4 that makes it a fun ride in or out of the city, though its heavy weight prevents true sport performance. What the Scion brand is known for, and the tC, is a long list of standard options and an even longer list of customizable accessories. Most of these are stand-alones, cutting down on the aggravation of bundles that give you stuff you don't want. Getting exactly the car that fits your needs is an appealing concept.
Standard features on the tC include full power accessories, a sunroof, reclining split-fold rear seats, an iPod port with controls on the steering wheel, cruise control, ABS brakes, keyless entry, and a security system. Despite its coupe-like look, the interior passenger room is spacious and doesn't skimp on leg-stretching comfort. The front passenger seat also folds flat to accommodate longer cargo such as surfboards, skis, or a didgeridoo.
Though not as popular as its xB sibling, the Scion tC has done well, and not just in the youth market. Toyota's reputation for a quality build, good fuel economy, and reliability, combined with the tC's affordability and easily customized options, make it an attractive choice for anyone looking for a fun, solid, and budget-oriented car. Over its three-year existence, the Scion has created very limited edition Release Series tCs, one for each year, which basically offer different color choices.

The Scion tC has been well-received across its model years, with many owners praising its sporty design, fun driving dynamics, and reliable performance. Drivers appreciate the roomy interiors and decent cargo space, making it a practical choice for a compact coupe. Fuel economy is generally seen as satisfactory, although some have voiced concerns about performance at higher speeds and visibility issues. Overall, the tC is loved for its engaging driving experience and stylish appearance but might leave some wanting more power and better gas mileage.

What people say
Great on gas. Great car for a single person very economical reliable , durable , sturdy . Soundsystem sounds wonderful, the hatchback is very spacious you can fit bikes and even a mattress. Very good car I'll definitely recommend it to my children if I ever have any
We officially bought the car 2 days ago. The car will be primarily driven by my 16 year old son who is in absolute heaven. The car safety rating is very good and has the excellent reputation of Toyota backing it which makes his parents happy. The car has relatively low miles, only minor body imperfections, and came with some amazing upgrades such as an Airlift, bonus headlight package, remote starter. So far we are very pleased with the cars features. The A/C is VERY cold on these hot days. Works perfectly. I wish it had a backup camera for safety reasons but being a 2016 it does not have one. My husband owned a Toyota Celica in high school and says the Scion TC reminds him of that car. We hope it will be as reliable as the reviews indicate it could be.
Good reliable car but has poor visibility. Nice seats, good cargo room.
The car is extremely reliable and it has great features at a fair price.
The Scion tC has great acceleration, the braking distance is short with all wheel discs, and it handles wonderfully at high speeds. The hatch rattles a bit, but nothing extreme. The exterior and interior of this car is second to none. It gets around 30 miles per gallon when you can keep your foot out of it, but where is the fun in that?! It has very low maintenance costs. I have 17k miles on mine and all I have done to her is gas and oil changes. The car is very fun to drive if you get the manual option.
