1988 Plymouth Horizon is my family car. It's a 4 door with a hatchback. It has red interior. It gets great gas milage. We fill it up on Thursdays ($25-$30). That gets us back and forth to work, to the grocery, or where ever we need to go until the next Thursday. I love my car!

Swapped a turbocharged engine from a 1988 Dodge Shadow into it, providing it with more than double the original power. The thing flies and handles like it's on rails. Decent gas mileage with highway gears, and still working the bugs out. Funnest car I've ever owned.

The TC3 variant hatchback is by far the sportiest looking. Performance is a bit lackluster with the auto trans. But pair the VW sourced 1.7 L motor with the 4 speed manual trans, and she wakes up a bit. Simple to repair and VERY low maintenance. Pretty sparse interior, a basic commuter in every sense, but this car sips fuel at a Hybrid's rate and gets close to 50 MPG!!

I guess everyone loves there first car and I'm no exception, but this was a pretty good car it had plenty of horsepower for its weight, it was super fun to drive and didn't really cost all that much to own. My car was actually a 1985 plymouth turissmo 2.2 hp.
