First of all ,the mercury lynx l 1986 2 door hatchback is cheap on gas and repair. Also its more powerful than you would think considering it only has a 4 cylinder engine(1.9 liter carburetor) .That specific car was my mom second car after see got rid of her cutlass .It only had rust on the gas door ! not bad for an 86 !!!! Sold it in 1997 got it in 1990 (frame need it repair brake also .)

I bought the car as my first classic car and as a hobby I want to put some nice rims on it and get it running like brand new (or better). I hope to get some ideas from others who share my interest in the Mercury Lynx..

it was easy on gas, repair costs were not a whole lot. i really loved the car, but iam unable to drive anymore. if i had to choose another vehicle to drive i would probably choose the mercury lynx. overall the 1986 mercury lynx has been a great car.

this car is overall amazing. It has great old school looks. built like a tank. surprisingly good gas mileage considering the lack of technology. It hasn't got a lot of pick up.. but it makes up for it with the ease of maneuverability. hands down, couldn't have asked for a better first car! wouldn't even trade it in for a ferrari. seriously.
