What can I say about this car. It fueled my passion for cars today. It refused to look like every other compact out there. It handled like it was superglued to the road. I can't wait to have another one!

the nice thing about the impulse is the lotus racing suspension with dual sway links on the front and rear. this allows to handle at high speeds quite impressivly. this car is worth taking a look at for sure, i got mine september 2009 and i have already spent $6000 on parts fixing the car up to racing standards again, new wheel bearings, gas racing suspension, high performance breaks and a full engine rebuild. let me tell you for the price i'm kicking butt on the drag strip.

My first car The model year is wrong. Mine was 1985, but Car IQ only lets me select from 1990 to 1992 model years for Impulse. Also, my Impulse's color was silve. Known in Japan as Isuzu Piazza, it had great design by Giorgetto Giugiaro, but the rest of the car was patch work from stock Isuzu parts bins and handling was not very impressive. I read somewhere long time ago that Giugiaro initially tried to sell the design that later became Impulse to VW as the next geration Scirocco (which makes sense since he also designed the first Scirocco) but VW did not take it and then ended up at Isuzu. Impulse definitely had resemblance to Scirocco.

It was like sitting in a jet fighter only the jet fighter was really slow made some funny noises and had a draft. I actually really liked this car it ran well got amazing gas mileage and was kind of fun to drive. I would defiantly take another one of these over a geo.

It was a mistake buying it! I needed a car to take me from point A to B while in college. The crap broke down before we got to the first letter! That was a waste of time and money.
