Fun to drive . Reliable +++ . Low cost to run and to maintain . The one I owned (for 7 years) was standard mechanically with improved rear shocks . It was fast ( up to 160 Km /h in high way ) , quick (3rd gear plenty of punch) , the gear shifting deliciously smooth , direction sharp and precise, but sleepery on the rear axle even wirth somewhat larger tyres . Brakes where from the 70s .... I loved it : a delightfull 2 door midnight blue sedan that I unfortunatelly sold to buy a Triumph... It was my first car and as the song says it will be always in my mind

I bought one new in 1973. Driving it was a lot of fun. The 4 speed transmission shifted easily and smoothly. The clutch was much lighter and easier to use than American cars of that period. I drove it across the country in the summer of '73 doing 85-90 mph most of the way getting about 30 mpg. With the speed around 60 mph, it got about 36 mpg. The car was very responsive and very easy to handle. I drove it for 128,000 miles and had relatively few repairs to make on it. I loved the way it looked - my friends thought it was cool. Downside of the car: noisy, particularly at high speeds and the cheap metal of the car did not hold up to northern NY winters - the bottom of the car was falling apart when I sold it in 1981. I would heartily recommend this car.
