Mine is a 2021 but so far, we love it! The must features are adaptive cruise control, ventilated seats, and 360 camera. The electric range is a pleasant surprise seeing 23-25 miles. The home link feature took some research to find location and how to program. So far, so good!

The interior is beautiful. So far we have been getting enough electric range for our driving around town, often exceeding the EPA estimates.

Such a well laid out car. Feels sturdy and reliable. Luxurious without being pretentious. Compare to Volvo XC60, BMW X5.

Hybrid offers under-rated performance in terms of acceleration and output. Very comfortable cabin.

About the Audi Q5 Hybrid Plug-In
This plug-in hybrid version of the Audi Q5 compact SUV offers 362 horsepower—making it the most powerful Q5 model—and 23 miles of electric range. Badged as the 55 TFSI e quattro in Audi's online configurator, the plug-in hybrid is only available in the standard Q5 body style, not the Sportback.
What are the advantages of the Audi Q5 Hybrid Plug-In?
- Standard all-wheel drive
- Comfortable
- Impressive technology
What is the best Audi Q5 Hybrid Plug-In model year?
The Q5 plug-in hybrid launched as a 2020 model. Nothing about the powertrain changed for 2021, but Audi introduced a new and better infotainment system. Those features carried over for 2022, but Audi also made the battery pack bigger. Adaptive cruise control became standard for 2023, making that model year the one to have, as only small changes are expected for 2024.
What are the disadvantages of the Audi Q5 Hybrid Plug-In?
- Uninspired styling
- Interior materials feel cheap
- Advanced safety features are not standard
Comparison: Is the Audi Q5 Hybrid Plug-in better than the Audi Q5?
The plug-in hybrid offers greater efficiency and greater power, without compromising the basic package of the Q5. However, it's also much more expensive than non-hybrid Q5 models, although constantly fluctuating prices for electrified vehicles mean that may not be reflected in the used-vehicle market. And keep in mind that a plug-in hybrid doesn't deliver any real benefit unless it's plugged in regularly.
Is the Audi Q5 Hybrid Plug-In a reliable car?
The 2023 Audi Q5 scored 73 out of 100 points in J.D. Power's consumer ratings, but J.D. Power doesn't break out results for the plug-in hybrid model. That score put the Q5 outside the top four in the Compact Premium SUV category.
Is the Audi Q5 Hybrid Plug-In worth the cost?
The Q5 is a solid small luxury SUV, but the plug-in hybrid version is a big step up from other models in price. It also doesn't offer as much electric range as plug-in hybrid versions of rival SUVs like the Lexus NX and Volvo XC60. So it's not the best value.
