Used 2025 BMW 2 Series for Sale near Pennsylvania

How much does the 2025 BMW 2 Series cost?

Prices have softened 17.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,557 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 BMW 2 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe earns a 6.33/10 expert rating.

The model scores 7/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

The overview points to an affordable entry into BMW ownership that still feels sporty, with more power and technology than before. It also highlights standard all-wheel drive and plenty of cargo space, which makes the car easier to live with than its compact footprint might suggest.

The trade-offs are clear: the styling is uninspired, the technology is unintuitive, and the ride quality is firm. That means you get a compact luxury sedan that leans toward driving enjoyment and value, but you should expect some compromises in comfort and ease of use.

Good and great deals percentage: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 BMW 2 Series reliable?

The overview and expert notes suggest a car that is mechanically straightforward for its class, with a turbocharged four-cylinder, standard all-wheel drive, and adaptive dampers across the lineup. The expert drive also describes the power delivery as plentiful, the dual-clutch transmission as quick and smooth, and the brakes as strong under repeated use.

The same expert notes say the available safety and convenience systems performed as they should, with no false alarms or technical glitches during testing. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to a fuel-economy leader in the lineup, which can help reduce day-to-day ownership strain.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright dependability and more about living with a car that can feel busy, firm, and less intuitive than you might want over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 2 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s equipment matches the listing, especially if you want the more advanced driver-assistance or technology packages. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing because the car’s firm ride and performance-oriented setup make suspension, brake, and tire condition especially important. You should also pay close attention to cabin wear and infotainment usability, since the car’s controls can be frustrating if anything is worn or malfunctioning.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry-level 228 xDrive Gran Coupe is the value play if you want the lower starting price and strong standard equipment, while the M235 xDrive Gran Coupe adds more power, upgraded brakes, a rear spoiler, unique interior trim, sport seats, and a sport steering wheel. The M235 is the better fit if you want the most performance-focused version, but the 228 xDrive is the better-value choice for most shoppers.
• Powertrain: The lineup uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. The 228 xDrive is rated at 241 horsepower, while the M235 xDrive makes 312 hp; the M235 also benefits from stronger acceleration and available performance-tire setup.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, front and rear parking proximity sensors, and a semi-automated parking system. The optional Driving Assistant Professional package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, and traffic jam assist, while the Technology package can add a surround-view camera system and head-up display.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. Over-the-air software updates are included, and the system also supports smartphone-based remote monitoring and BMW Digital Key Plus.
• Fuel efficiency: The 228 xDrive is rated at 26 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 30 mpg combined, while the M235 xDrive returns 24 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 27 mpg combined.

Which 2025 BMW 2 Series trim should I buy?

The 2025 BMW 2 Series is offered in 2 trim levels: 228 xDrive Gran Coupe and M235 xDrive Gran Coupe.

Here's the short version:

• 228 xDrive Gran Coupe: This is the best-value trim if you want the lower entry price, standard all-wheel drive, strong fuel economy, and the full core tech and safety setup without paying for the extra performance hardware.
• M235 xDrive Gran Coupe: This is the one to choose if you want the sharper, more powerful version with 312 hp, upgraded brakes, sport seats, a sport steering wheel, and the more aggressive character that makes the car feel most like a BMW enthusiast model.

The optional Driving Assistant Professional package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, and traffic jam assist, so it is the safety add-on to look for if you want the most complete driver-assistance setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 2 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,557 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,897, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 2 Series's resale value?

The current average of $36,897 sits slightly below last year's $44,718.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the car for a while. For a future seller, the current pricing means there is less cushion than there was a year ago, so resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and equipment.

If you buy well and keep the car clean, the strongest resale story will likely come from desirable equipment and a well-documented service history. If you overpay now, the softer market makes it harder to recover that premium later.

Is the 2025 BMW 2 Series safe?

The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe comes with standard advanced safety and driver assistance features like forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, front and rear parking proximity sensors, and a semi-automated parking system.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The optional Driving Assistant Professional package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, and traffic jam assist. A surround-view camera system and head-up display are available through the Technology package.

Crash test results have not yet been published by either NHTSA or IIHS, so you should lean more heavily on the standard safety equipment and available driver-assistance packages when evaluating a used example.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 2 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.49% compared with last year.
• The redesigned model adds more power and technology while keeping the car’s sporty character and practical strengths intact.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with stronger value in today’s market, the 2025 is the better path. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also consider nearby years, but the 2025’s softer pricing and strong inventory make it the cleaner buy for shoppers who want the latest redesign without paying peak-market money.
