The 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is a dynamic and athletic hot-rod luxury sedan. It is based on the CT4, which is itself a competent premium car with easy-to-use technology.

What’s New for the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing

Believe it or not, Cadillac has been making V-Variants of its luxury cars for two decades now. To celebrate the occasion, the automaker is launching a 20th Anniversary edition with unique graphics and new colors. On all models, there’s new “Blackwing” badging under the V logo.

Design

For 2024, new colors include Black Diamond Tricoat, Coastal Blue Metallic, Cyber Yellow Metallic, and Velocity Red. No matter which color you select, the CT4-V Blackwing comes equipped with 18-inch wheels wrapped in performance tires, Brembo performance brakes, and Magnetic Ride Control, ensuring the Blackwing is firmly planted through hard corners. The Blackwing is also available with a Carbon Fiber package that adds multiple exterior components of the lightweight composite material.

Powertrain

The 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engine. It makes 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The CT4-V Blackwing can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, on the way to a top track speed of 189 mph.

The automatic transmission is slightly more efficient, returning fuel economy of 16 mpg city, 24 highway, and 19 combined. With the manual transmission, the CT4-V Blackwing returns fuel economy of 15 mpg city, 23 highway, and 18 combined. This powertrain requires premium fuel.

Interior

Standard features on the 2024 CT4-V Blackwing include 18-way performance bucket seats, perforated leather upholstery, remote start, push-button start, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The front seats even include a massage function.

A Cold Weather Package adds heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Blackwing is also available with ventilated front seats and a head-up display. A Carbon Fiber Package adds many custom touches in the Blackwing’s cabin. The CT4-V Blackwing provides up to 11 cubic feet of cargo space.

Technology

The standard infotainment system for the 2024 CT4-V Blackwing is an intuitive 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This screen can also be controlled by a rotary dial in the center console. The Blackwing comes standard with a 14-speaker AKG premium stereo system.

Safety

The CT4-V Blackwing comes equipped with forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors. The manual-equipped version does not come with automatic emergency braking, but this feature does come standard on the model with the automatic transmission. A 360-degree parking camera system is available.

Pricing

At the time of this writing, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing has a base MSRP of $62,890 with the manual transmission. With the automatic transmission, it starts at $66,065. The CT4-V Blackwing is backed by a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
