The 2024 Audi A6 Allroad brings SUV-like capability for inclement weather and dirt roads to a refined and spacious midsize luxury sedan.

What’s New for the 2024 Audi A6 Allroad

For 2024, Audi adds some tech features and creature comforts as standard equipment, including their remote-start smartphone app, adaptive cruise control, and an ambient cabin lighting system. For 2024, the available Executive package adds traffic-sign recognition and dual-pane acoustic glass for an extremely hushed cabin.

Design

The A6 Allroad is based on the A6 wagon but has added fender cladding, roof rails, and a grille design that is more in line with Audi’s SUV lineup. The A6 Allroad is offered in Premium Plus and Prestige trims. The Premium Plus comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels. Stepping up to the Prestige adds power soft-closing doors and HD Matrix-design LED headlights.

Powertrain

There is one powertrain offered for the A6 Allroad. A turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine makes 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a seven-speed automatic transmission to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD). EPA fuel economy estimates for the 2024 Audi A6 All-road are 22 mpg city, 30 highway, and 25 combined. The A6 Allroad requires premium fuel.

Audi states a zero-to-60 time of 5.4 seconds, but it’s the Allroad’s low-speed performance that should raise eyebrows. The standard air suspension allows for some light off-roading and can lift the car 1.2 inches up from its standard ride height.

Interior

The cabin has a high-tech-yet refined cabin aesthetic that comes standard with leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic moonroof. The Prestige trim adds quad-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats.

The A6 Allroad provides up to 30 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. This space can be expanded by folding the rear seats, however, Audi does not specify this maximum cargo figure.

Technology

The standard infotainment system consists of dual touchscreens in the center console. The 8.6-inch lower screen operates climate control and other vehicle functions. The 10.1-inch upper screen handles entertainment functions and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The A6 Allroad comes with a fully digital instrument panel, which Audi calls the Virtual Cockpit. Other standard tech features include four USB ports, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system. There are standalone options such as night vision assist and a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

Safety

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree parking camera system. The Prestige trim adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and traffic-sign recognition.

Pricing

At the time of this writing, base MSRP for the 2024 Audi A6 Allroad is $68,500 for the Premium Plus trim and $73,800 for the Prestige. The A6 Allroad is backed by a four-year/50,000-mile limited warranty and powertrain warranty.
