The 2023 Maserati Levante is a premium midsize SUV that provides impressive driving dynamics. It’s offered in a number of models ranging from sporty to outright performance variants. ## What’s New for the 2023 Maserati Levante The Levante was introduced for the 2017 model year. It received styling and tech updates in 2021. For 2023, it gains additional standard safety tech. ## Design Trims for the Levante are GT, Modena, Modena S, and Trofeo. The GT comes with 20-inch alloy wheels. 21-inch wheels are optional on the GT. The Trofeo comes with 21-inch wheels and carbon fiber exterior accents. The Modena S and Trofeo are available with 22-inch wheels. ## Powertrain The entry-level GT trim of the 2023 Levante comes with a 345-horsepower twin-turbo V6. The Modena also features a twin-turbo V6, but it's tuned to put out 424 horsepower. The Modena S is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 that puts out 523 horsepower. The Trofeo’s twin-turbo V8 has the same displacement, with an output of 572 horsepower. No matter the engine selected, power is routed to all-wheel drive (AWD) via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Trofeo can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 187 mph. All versions come with an adaptive air suspension and a limited-slip rear differential. The most efficient version of the Levante is the 3.0-liter engine in the GT and Modena. This powertrain returns fuel economy of 16 mpg city, 22 highway, 18 combined. ## Interior With the rear seats folded, the Levante has up to 57 cubic feet of cargo space. With the rear seats in use, it has 20 cubic feet of rear cargo space. The Levante comes standard with a hands-free power liftgate. The GT trim comes equipped with a push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Available features include quad-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and power soft-close doors. Many of these features come standard on the Trofeo. ## Technology An 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes standard in the 2023 Levante. It includes navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. 14-speaker and 17-speaker premium stereo systems are optional. The 17-speaker sound system comes standard on the Trofeo trim. ## Safety The Levante comes with plenty of standard driver-assistance features, including forward collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic-sign recognition, a 360-degree parking camera system, and front and rear parking sensors. ## Pricing At the time of this writing, the 2023 Maserati Levante has a base MSRP of $90,700 for the GT trim.
