Safety-wise, the only standard feature is a rearview camera. That said, rear parking sensors are standard on 2LT and above trims ,and the available Driver Confidence Package gets you automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and forward-collision alert. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) hasn’t evaluated the current-generation Spark. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gave the 2021 model top “Good” marks in moderate overlap front and side crash tests, but the organization has not yet published a full set of test results.
