The Audi S6 is a fantastic, understated performance sedan (a true "sleeper"). It competes with other swift saloons like the BMW M550i and Mercedes-AMG E53. The A6 has a subtle style but brings performance, comfort, and technology.

For 2022, the S6 gains rear side airbags, direct tire pressure monitoring, and newly available carbon cabin accents, as well as new 21-inch wheels as part of the Black Optic Package.

The S6 features a clean, modern cabin design, highlighted by the dual-screen MMI infotainment system. The lower screen operates the climate control and other vehicle settings, while the upper screen operates the stereo as well as Apple CarPlay. In back, you get up to 14 cubic feet of trunk space.

The S6 is available in Premium Plus and Prestige trims. The Premium Plus includes four-zone climate control, Matrix-design LED headlights, and a Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system. It also comes equipped with the Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel, with Dynamic, Sport, and S Performance modes to accompany the drive modes of the same name.

Behind the large hexagonal grille sits a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine with mild-hybrid assist, rated at 444 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through an eight-speed automatic transmission with manual tap-shift function to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD). This setup is good for a zero-to-sixty time of 4.4 seconds, per Audi.

Audi wraps the S6’s wheels in Pirelli P Zero performance tires. An optional S Sport package adds a sport differential, all-wheel steering, adaptive suspension, and a sport exhaust—all enhancing the driving experience.

The S6 comes standard with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warning. Adaptive cruise control and other driver-assist features are available as optional extras.

Base MSRP for the 2022 Audi S6 is $75,945 for the Premium Plus trim. The Prestige trim starts at $82,545.
