The Chrysler Voyager was introduced for the 2020 model year, replacing the entry-level trims of the Pacifica, and this year, it also serves as a replacement for the newly discontinued Dodge Grand Caravan. Since the Voyager is an entry-level minivan for the Chrysler brand, it’s available in just three trim levels, which carry over from last year: L and LX for consumers, and LXi for fleet customers. Standard features include cloth upholstery and a second-row bench, while the LX adds second-row captain’s chairs and additional interior storage. Heated seats and a roof rack are optional on both. For more options, consider trading up to the more opulent Chrysler Pacifica. The Voyager comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system in the L trim. The LX model adds SiriusXM satellite radio and the option of a rear-row DVD entertainment system. The 2021 Voyager earned a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and five top scores of “good” out of six tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). A reversing camera comes standard across the Voyager lineup. The optional SafetyTec Group includes automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and, new for this year, pedestrian automatic emergency braking, and full-speed forward collision warning. The Chrysler Voyager continues into its second year as a simple, budget-friendly option for family travel.
