The Nissan NV series of commercial vans competes with the Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana, Ford Transit, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. The NV Passenger is a variant that can carry up to 12 people across 4 rows. For 2020, it gets no notable changes. The base powertrain for the NV Passenger is a 4.0-liter V6 rated at 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, plus a 5-speed automatic transmission. A 5.6-liter V8 with 375 hp and 387 lb-ft is also available, and it hooks up to a 7-speed automatic transmission. All NV Passenger powertrains are rear-wheel drive (RWD). You get the same choice of S, SV, and SL trims as in years past. The S comes with 4 speakers, 17-inch steel wheels, a 5.8-inch color touchscreen display, Bluetooth, and individual lighting for each row. The SV adds 17-inch chrome alloy wheels, extra 12-volt outlets, an 8-way power driver seat, carpeted flooring, and two extra speakers. You can then select a package that tacks on navigation, voice recognition, and satellite radio. The SL comes with all standard and optional features on the SV grade, as well as leather seats, dual-zone automatic front climate control, a towing hitch, and the V8 engine. The only standard safety items for the NV Passenger are airbags for all rows. Rear parking sensors come on the SV grade, while the SL adds front parking sensors. Unfortunately, no reversing camera or any other advanced safety features are available.
