The Nissan NV Cargo commercial van competes with cargo versions of the Chevrolet Express/GMC Savana, Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. It soldiers on without any changes for 2020. The NV Cargo comes in half-ton (1500), three-quarter-ton (2500 HD), and one-ton (3500 HD) versions. While the Standard Roof body style comes standard on all three, 2500 HD and 3500 HD buyers have the option of a High Roof model. Whichever one you choose, you’ll get a sliding side door, twin rear doors that fold completely to the side, and a commodious cargo area that can swallow 48-inch plywood sheets between the rear wheels. The NV Cargo offers as much as 321 cubic feet of cargo space. The 1500 and 2500 HD come standard with a 4.0-liter V6 good for 261 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, backed by a 5-speed automatic. Optional in the 2500 HD and standard in the 3500 HD is a 5.6-liter V8 with 375 hp and 387 lb-ft, plus a 7-speed automatic transmission. All NV Cargo vehicles have rear-wheel drive (RWD). Nissan offers the NV Cargo in S, SV, and SL trim levels. The S comes standard with steel wheels, water-repellent surfaces, tire-pressure monitoring, a 5.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth hands-free calling, and two speakers. Vinyl seating is a standalone option. The SV gets premium 17-inch steel wheels, a rear cargo mat, a center console with a sliding table and lockable storage, cruise control, and interior cargo panels. The Navigation package gets you satellite radio and navigation, while the Back Door Glass package puts fixed-glass windows on the rear doors. The SL, which is available only on the 3500 HD, bundles chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, chrome door handles, an 8-way power seat, a security system, keyless entry, and a full-length overhead cabin storage solution. SL vans offer the same Navigation and Back Door Glass packages as the SV.
