Why it stands out
The 2018 Toyota Tundra is a formidable contender in the full-size truck category, renowned for its reliability and robust performance capabilities. Although it faces competition from domestic giants like the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the Tundra's consistent customer satisfaction, evidenced by a user rating of 4.55 / 5 stars, speaks volumes about its appeal. Highlights of the model include a spacious and well-featured interior, particularly in the upper trims that cater to luxury buyers.
Despite some criticisms regarding fuel efficiency and outdated technology, the Tundra's strengths remain remarkable. Enthusiasts especially appreciate the powertrain options, including the V8 that is known for its durability and performance. Toyota Tundra is what expected of from a towing capacity of a powered V8 / 5.7L 4 × 4 vehicle. Lots of leg room.

Toyotas are generally bullet proof. This is my fourth and it has basically solidified a brand-loyalty when car shopping. The Tundra is a terrific truck. Almost everything an F150, Sierra or Ram can do, the Tundra does better. It definitely rides better than any truck out there. It tows just like the others, hauls just like the others and looks better than the others. It is a rather thirsty truck however. I get 15-17 city/highway like clockwork. Not great mileage but let me qualify that by saying that those numbers are consistent no matter how Im driving. The Tundra is easily modified should you choose to do so. Ive put a cold air intake and stainless, aftermarket exhaust on mine and it has definitely improved already good performance. Those mods were easily done at home too. I say get a Tundra before the new breed of six cylinder supplants the V8 and hang on to it!
