In the United States, the Ford Fiesta met its demise in 2019 as the automaker slashed sedans and all cars but the Mustang from its lineup. The shift took the performance-oriented Fiesta ST with it, removing one of the last and purest affordable enthusiast cars from the market. Ford sold the car starting in 2014 and immediately proved why Americans should buy more hatchbacks.
