a friend recommended I look for a 2.5 vw sportwagen. he has four of them. with his help, my search began. we located plenty of them powered by diesel, but the 2.5 he recommended was difficult to locate in CT. finally, thanks to cargurus, I located one in nearby Manchester at Yara motors. so far it is better than I imagined. time will tell.

So far I have almost 5000 miles on her and she has given me 36 mpg around town. I love the sunroof, it is huge! Sirius stereo is great! The engine is pretty muscular with so much torque, I surprise quite a few people with how quick this car can take off! I have loads of room, it is very comfortable, and it gets great mpg, What else would you need? I can't wait to see how it does on a roadtrip! Supposedly after the engine passes the 10000 mile breakin period it will be able to get 50+ mpg!

Great style. I have no real complaints with the VW Jetta Wagon. I just wish it were slightly roomier in the backseat. At low speeds on hills, there is a hiccup before it gets into gear. This is eliminated in Sport mode.
