If you were in the market for a Caprice PPV (Police Patrol Vehicle) circa 2010, you were pretty much out of luck unless you were a member of your local police force. This was a fleet-only vehicle, with very few examples sold to the general public. The Caprice PPV was based on GM’s Zeta platform, which underpinned cars like the Camaro, Lumina, and Pontiac G8. Its closest publicly available relative in the Chevrolet lineup was the short-lived Chevrolet SS, which was only made it four short model years. In Australia, the most familiar analogue would be the Holden Commodore. The Caprice PPV was powered by either a 3.6-liter V-6 or – more commonly - a 6.0-liter V-8 developing 355hp and 384-lb.ft. of torque. I love this vehicle. Comes with a 6.0 L77 V8 that is almost exactly an LS3 out of a corvette. Of course it being a police vehicle, it doesn’t come with everything you could wish for but it comes with a lot for being one. An amazing a rare car with a lot of features and a lot of things to do to it
