Overview

The Toyota Avalon full-size sedan receives only minor updates for 2010, including an automatic up/down feature with jam protection for the rear windows. In previous years, this feature was standard only on the front windows. In addition, Toyota adds a new Sandy Beach Metallic exterior color for 2010.
The Avalon comes in XL, XLS, and Limited trims for 2010. A 3.5-liter DOHC V6 engine generating 268 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque drives all three Avalon trims. Dual variable valve timing with intelligence helps to improve the engine's performance and efficiency. The V6 links to a six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence, which adjusts shifting patterns depending on the driver's style and the road surface. In addition, the transmission enables drivers to shift manually for a sportier experience. Fuel economy numbers for the V6 engine check in at 19/28 mpg. The Avalon runs on regular gasoline, and qualifies as an ultra-low-emissions vehicle.
Outside, the Avalon displays a clean and contemporary yet uninspiring design, which makes it difficult for the Avalon to stand out in a crowd. Standard exterior features for the base XL trim include halogen headlights, power-operated exterior mirrors, tinted taillights, and dual rear exhaust pipes, while the XLS adds front foglights and heated power exterior mirrors. The Limited trim includes such features as HID headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and heated exterior mirrors with auto-dimming.
The front-wheel-drive Avalon rides on a comfort-oriented suspension tuned for smooth, soft driving dynamics. While some owners find the ride too floaty, the Avalon glides over the road, especially at highway speeds, and minimizes road imperfections to insulate passengers from any harshness or rough spots. In addition, a quiet engine and extensive sound insulation minimize interior noise.
The Avalon's refined, luxury-oriented interior seats five passengers in two spacious rows. The driver's seat of the XL features power adjustment with power lumbar support, while the manually adjustable tilt/telescopic steering wheel includes audio and climate controls. The XLS upgrades to leather-trimmed power-adjustable front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the Limited receives perforated leather upholstery.
Other standard interior features for all three trims include dual-zone automatic climate control with rear-seat vents, cruise control, a center console with a sliding armrest, remote keyless entry, and an illuminated entry system. The XLS adds wood-grain-style interior trim and 60/40-split manually reclining rear seats, while the top-of-the-line Limited increases the luxury quotient with such standard features as heated and ventilated front seats, a power driver's seat cushion extension, a wood-and-leather steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror with a compass. The XLS and Limited also come equipped with a power tilt/slide moonroof with a sliding sunshade, which owners can add as an option on the XL.
A nine-speaker AM/FM audio system with a 6-CD changer, MP3 input jack, and satellite radio capability comes standard on the XL and XLS trims, while the Limited upgrades the sound system to a 360-watt JBL Synthesis unit with 12 speakers, including a subwoofer, and Bluetooth wireless technology. Options for the XLS and Limited trims include a voice-activated DVD navigation system, which integrates with the JBL Synthesis system.
All Avalon trims include electronic stability control, traction control, and antilock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution. A full range of airbags, including a driver's knee airbag and side-curtain airbags, also comes standard. The Avalon XL rides on 16-inch alloy wheels, while the XLS and Limited trims receive 17-inch alloy wheels.

I love the quite and comfort, with the leather interior, of this car. .There are no rattles. This car should last a long time, with comfort and dependability over many cars. I love the power responce and breaking when in freeway traffic. In summary, this car is in a class above most cars.
