Great car, fun to drive becasue it is Turbo AWD. easy to mod and a lot of aftermarket parts available for this model as well as performance parts. Handles well in the winter but recommend that you get the Ultra Performance yokohama tires, It really makes a difference.

pretty good looking car that answers when you want to put the pedal to the metal, SST transmission, few tranny issues, 25mpg average, resale value is ok. The car looks great no matter what color, Recommended tune ups will hurt the pocket book though.

This car is definitely a performer. Nice amount of power. The car is a bit heavy due to the all wheel drive so that does go against it but its still great fun. When I originally bought the car, there was a screw missing in the window assembly that made it click loudly when rolling the window up or down but this was fixed quickly under warranty. The paint isn't the best either, it seems to chip and scratch very easily but this seems to be common to new cars with environmentally friendly paint. The exterior of this car is amazing. It is what really attracted me to it. In some ways I think it looks better then the Evolution. The interior is very sporty too although I could live without the very fake looking faux carbon fiber trim. Its not an eyesore but it looks almost nothing like carbon fiber and that bothers me. The newer model Lancers also have a slightly nicer gauge cluster, the 2009 gauges look a bit dated. One of the worst parts about this car is the gas mileage. Expect an average of about 20mpg. Its not bad, but definitely not up to modern standards. It doesn't help that it only has a 12 gallon tank either. Because this car is a turbo AWD car with an advanced twin- clutch transmission... its maintenance schedule is a bit more frequent then most other cars but its not too bad.
