Gutless, overstressed, heavy, inefficient, ugly, cramped and thoroughly pointless vehicle. The engine struggles to propel this barely-guided missile, after 10,000 miles of rental use it felt like it had been around the clock, and the interior seemed to be made out of the insides and packaging from some cheap trainers. Why on earth does this vehicle exist.

I've driven several cars and for the most part many cars I find are livable even though they might actually be bad cars. I wasn't expecting much from the 2008 Chrysler Sebring hearing that it wasn't impressive. I just wasn't expecting it to be this bad. First things first. To drive, this car is really awful. Starting with that awful 2.7L V6 engine, it was so slow I initially thought it was the 4-cylinder because of the lag and how noisy it was. I was shocked to see the label "V6", I couldn't believe Chrysler charges people more money for the Touring version(which is what I've driven). The transmission is really stupid too, it actually holds the gear even if you hit 6000 rpm. Steering feel is worse than a Buick's, the Caravan drives much better. Handling...just hopeless. On performance this car is 25 years out of date. The interior is full of very cheap looking plastic. There are a few chrome touches but overall its just plain disgusting plastic. I've also never come across such uncomfortable seats, I get back pain from these terrible things. The cheaper Avenger has better seats than this. As for how its assembled...not very well either, some loose bits and unfinished sharp edges on some of the plastics. As I've mentioned in performance this car is so slow, worse you have a V6 to feed so its not very fuel efficient. The electronics on these cars are not reliable, prone to failure and often recalled. At this point who cares what options it has, if they don't work or will break soon then its completely pointless. I was amazed such a car existed...one that does everything pretty badly, this car's sole purpose was to rip people off. If your thinking about buying one...please test something else because I'm certain its going to be better than this POS. I'm certain the old Sebring is better. If you still have buy one...buy an Avenger...save money and get decent seats. If you want to buy American, buy the Malibu because that's superior to this and you'll actually support a good car, not a awful one.
