Good car overall, bad fuel consumption rate, stable on the highway (I got 170 km/h). on the negative side that the side pumbers are curved in a way that they can be easily dented or scratched. positive side i sthe great shape, comfort inside (good leg space), good AC.

My sweet little Burro! It's comfortable, reasonably scooty, fuel-efficient and easy to drive. The Aveo is small and it looks small, there's no getting around it. Watching a full-sized adult climb out of the driver's seat made circus music run through my head. Once I got past that, I noticed that the Aveo is nicely styled, with modern lines and tasteful details. The proportions of the car make it seem a little tall for its size. The body has just enough curves to keep the overall shape from being boxy. Big rectangular headlights wrap the front corners, and a small grill features a polished Chevy bowtie. Fit and finish are very good, with high quality paint and chrome, and tight, even seams and gaps.

It was a great little car for the price. I got it because I was having to drive over 300 miles every other week as well as commute 26 miles each way to go to school every day. We paid only $12,500 brand new and it has had few maintenance issues for over 60,000 so far. Aveos do have a problem with the fuel sensor which causes an intermittent check engine light and requires $500 or so to fix because the whole throttle body has to be replaced. I just wait til the light goes out to get it inspected. Running ethanol-free gas may solve the problem, but I don't know. The fix may not be a big deal for someone who is a mechanic. It handles very well at both low and highway speed in sun and rain, but this car handles poorly if there is snow or ice on the ground. I'm good at winter driving but I still ended up doing a 360 on the highway when ice was on the ground.
