About 2008 Buick LaCrosse
Overview

Besides some exterior and interior updates, the biggest change for the Buick LaCrosse in 2008 came in the introduction of the Super trim, which sports a 5.3 L, 300 hp V8 engine. The Super goes from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds. With the addition of this high-powered variation, the LaCrosse now has 4 trims.
The other 3 trims sport V6 engines and all 4 trims have 4 speed automatic transmission. Gas mileage generally runs from 20 mpg in the city to 29 on the highway. All 4 trims have 4 doors and seat 5-6 passengers.
Overall, the 2008 Buick LaCrosse looks like a good buy for the older crowd with its elegant design and capable powertrain selection. In addition, the list of standard features looks relatively comprehensive. This new model should hit stores in late 2007.

This model has the infamous 3.8 motor thats considered bullet proof. It rides like the Cadillac but had a lower price tag. Great features and a great value.

--Excellent performance. --Excellent fuel economy. (3.8 l V6) --Excellent handling in winter ice and snow conditions. --Comfortable seats, can drive long distances without undue strain or fatigue. --Comfortable car to drive as opposed to "fun". It is not intended to be a sports car. --Would have liked a sun roof option.

To be honest when I first saw this car, I had negative impressions of it. I thought it was going to be like the stereotypical Buick which I consider only worthwhile for an elderly person. Turns out the Allure(Canadian name) was not the car I feared and that its the Lucerne that had this. The Allure drives alright for such a large vehicle(almost questionable why the Lucerne exists). It has the same 3.8L V6 as the Grand Prix but more refined and controlled. It also seems to handle better than the Grand Prix surprisingly. The interior is full of colour despite being conventional. The build quality seems to be pretty good and I haven't seen any of these cars have an issue. Its big inside, the trunk is big...not much else to say. The resale of these cars stink, its great to buy used but awful buying new and selling early. Still for the smallest Buick, I think its a better value than the Lucerne. I might appreciate this car more if I was much older. From the perspective of a younger person, this car seems to be like a Pontiac Grand Prix but with far less of the drawbacks, the only downside is the styling fitting for the Buick brand.

People think just because its a Buick, it should be driven by a senior, but Im far from a senior. All of the power you get with the GXP and SS, but loaded up with class.Although its a small block, it gets decent milages, especially on long trips. I drove it round trip from Ohio to Georgia and it only cost me $130 in gas. Looks great, sounds great, and feels great. Love everytime I drive it.
