The Volkswagen Touareg has been redesigned for 2007, with more than 2,300 new parts, a modified grille and headlights, a new anti-lock braking system called ABSplus, and a new Adaptive Cruise Control system that accelerates or slows the vehicle depending on traffic conditions. It will also completely stop the vehicle in an emergency.

Also new is a rollover sensor, an upgraded audio system from Danish manufacturer Dynaudio, and a new 350-hp V8 engine. A V6 and new V10 turbodiesel will also be available in 2007.

In previous model years, the list of standard features for the Touareg was extensive, and the same will be true of the 2007 models. Typical features will include a power moonroof, keyless remote entry, walnut wood interior trim, heated mirrors, and a navigation system.
