Performance-DBW is not particularly good at sudden acceleration, all-wheel disc brakes are superb, handling is good for a FWD car Build Quality-excellent, has some minor squeaks and rattles Appearance-the exterior is amazingly well done, the interior is excellent (love the two-tier dash and digital speedometer and fuel and oil gauges) Cost of Ownership-excellent as well (typical for Hondas), averaging 32 mpg combined with sometimes performance-driven driving, maintenance is easy and the Maintenance Minder system is accurate Fun Factor-for a DD, it's a good car, sometimes with it was an Si with extra horsepower, more torque and a second OHC

I got this car in December '06 after wanting a Civic for like years and years! It has definitely lived up to my expectations. I love the looks, the build quality and the fuel saving engine that still delivers a good amount of power. It looks great, it is fun, it comes with lots of features and it is a low maintenance car. 2 things I don't like: My back seats don't fold down and it took me a while to get used to shifting from 1st to 2nd 'nicely'. I'd definitely recommend this car to anyone who doesn't have trouble getting in and out of low-to-the-ground cars.

After years of driving an SUV and only being happy in the mud and snow, it was time for a more youthful car. This new Civic coupe purchased for my birthday in October 2006 was the cure. Its got 86K miles now and has seen only full synthetic oil. I enjoy the handling, decent power, looks, driver support and comfort. It does well enough in the winter with 4 winter tires. The back seats have never been used and the car has been garaged since new. My big quibble is Honda brakes. The rotors warped way too easily. I replaced them with drilled and slotted rotors at all 4 corners and am pleased. I cannot understand the poor brakes Honda uses on every model Ive owned.

Overall, I would recommend this car to anyone. It's a great car overall, but a little on the slow side since it only has 140 crank horsepower. It's great on gas, consistently in the high 20's or low 30's even with 70% city driving (with my manual transmission). It still has some acceleration though, and it can be fun to drive when you push it. It has many standard features, a 350 watt stock amp, and an 8 inch subwoofer. I've replaced all the stock speakers, but they were decent enough to please the average person.

Quality economy car, not built for speed or street racing which is what most young people look for. No problems with any of the car. Enjoy the two door look, overall beautiful car to look at. Excellent gas mileage and minimal cost of ownership.
