The SLE1, SLE2, and SLT1 trims come with a 4.2-liter, 291-hp inline-6 engine, while the Denali has a 5.3-liter, 302-hp V8. All 8 trims use a four-speed automatic transmission. The 4WD trims get 15 mpg in the city, 21 on the highway, while the 2WD trims get 16 and 22, respectively. The Envoy has 4 doors and seats 5. Cargo space comes out to 43.7/80.1 cubic feet. Overall, drivers agree that the Envoy provides comfort and powerful engines in its lineup. On the other hand, this midsize SUV could use better materials, better handling, and tighter steering. This was probably the best vehicle that I have owned thus far. The drive was amazing, smooth and comfortable. It was quite expensive but it was well worth it. Never once came close to getting stuck and the interior was plush

Not a bad SUV for the price we got. The L6 (NOT a V6!) is quite powerful and bit more efficient. The SUV has done markedly on all surfaces and nearly all conditions. We did not take it off-road because we want to preserve the trade in value of the vehicle before moving to Hawaii this summer. We cut back on the number of miles usually driven by the US average of 50% for this reason.
