About 2007 Chevrolet Aveo
Overview

The 2006 Chevy Aveo is entering into some stiff compeition in the market. One anonymous blogger called the car a "rental car cheapie." It certainly is not very expensive, coming in at under $13,500 for the base model.
Similar to other cars in its class, the Aveo gets great mileage - 27/35 mpg - by virture of its smaller engine, a 1.6-liter inline four, and lighter weight. Standard safety features include front and side airbags as well as rear-seat head restraints.

OK , we bought this car for my mother in law, and she loves it. It is a cute little car, with ample space both interior and trunk. A little low on the horsepower but it does get great gas mileage. I would only race for pink slips if the other guy was riding a vespa. Overall a great car completely fully loaded for $20K.... not bad.

No frills on this car - I use it solely for commuting and getting where I need to go. It does that just fine, as long as the roads aren't extremely snowy. It does have FWD so it can function in small amounts of snow...but I keep a shovel and container of salt in my trunk in the winter, and don't drive anywhere the plow trucks haven't been. In terms of MPG, it's great. I drive 50+ miles a day, 5 days a week, and usually only have to fill up once a week (10 gallon tank). I've had this car for 4 years (bought used in 2010), and I am finding that as the car ages, it seems to have more frequent issues. This model/year has known issues with the throttle position sensor, which I've had replaced twice in a 2-year period. This is a costly repair (~$450+) because the entire throttle body needs to be replaced, not just the sensor. I just brought it in today for a rotted exhaust flange and possible muffler replacement (~$500+). Overall, I would say that this is a pretty good car if you live in the city, don't mind driving a dorky-looking car, and need a fuel-efficient way to get to work (other than a bike). Make sure to save up for potentially pricey repairs around the 75k mile mark.

This car is my second brand new car and it has lasted me and never let me down. I enjoy being able to fit into small car parking spots. The handling on the roads is great and I love the gas millage.
