About 2006 INFINITI M35
Overview
Introduced this year, the 2006 Infiniti M35 luxury sport sedan rides on a modified version of the G35's FM platform. It's also longer, making space for more passenger legroom and a 15 cubic foot trunk. The 2006 M35 comes in three trims. Both the Base and Sport offer rear-wheel drive, while the M35x features intelligent AWD, which apportions torque 50/50, but then makes adjustments according to road conditions. All trims share a 280-hp, 3.5-liter DOHC V6 and 5-speed automatic with paddle shifters, averaging 18/25 mpg.
Reviewers agree that the M35 seems to blend refined performance with upscale comfort, at a much cheaper price than competitors such as the BMW 5-series and Mercedes Benz E Class. The mid-size sedan also prides itself on its technology, claiming to be the most advanced Infiniti. Much of these items are available as options, including a lane departure warning system, intelligent cruise control, and adaptive headlights. Base models start out with an array of power features, including push-button ignition, a sunroof, power tilt and telescopic steering, and power front seats. Leather upholstery and Rosewood trim add to the elegance. The Sport model provides a stiffer suspension, heated and cooled sport seats, alloy trim, and Rear Active Steer, which helps smooth out cornering capabilities.
All trims come with a full complement of safety features, including traction and stability control, ABS brakes, and dual front-side and side curtain airbags. The Base starts with 18-inch wheels, while the Sport gets 19-inch wheels. Most owners have fallen in love with the 2006 M35, making particular note of its optional navigation system, overall comfort, smooth ride, and decent acceleration power. The biggest complaints centered around the low fuel economy, and a bland exterior that doesn't match the luxurious interior. Rear visibility is a drawback, prompting many to opt for the optional rearview camera. Other drivers complain about the lack of a 6-speed transmission and the noticeable road noise with the 19-inch wheels.

the car is absolutely wonderful all around. Every option is available, great handling, sporty (almost too sporty and stiff) suspension. Extremely reliable, after owning an Audi A8 - this is a huge sigh of relief!! The fuel consuption is pretty horrible for a V6, but that's what you get for the AWD system. But this too little to think about when you sit behind the wheel and enjoy every moment.

I absolutely love the M. The M has a focus on luxury rather the performance orientated G. The ride is great, but still responsive in the corners. Mileage isn't great, but having AWD in crappy weather helps with that. Everything feels solid and well built, with little to no gaps in panels.

I got this car because I had my eyes on a Lexus. After more research, I found that I could get a fully loaded Infiniti and it was more affordable than a stock Lexus. It's sleek, handles well, I feel safe in it. It's roomy inside and comfortable for short or long trips. I commute an hour and a half to and from work, so trips to the gas station are frequent for me, but I stay on top of the oil and maintenance so everything has been right on target with replacing things as expected. Navigation is wonderful and the backup camera is really helpful. The sound system is great and I just love this car!
