In the anticipation of a redesign for the 2007 model, the 2006 Avalanche did not feature many changes other than minor adjustments to mirrors and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The crossover vehicle continued to offer the comfort of an SUV with the versatility of a truck. The midgate which separates the truck bed from the SUV cab is removable and configurable. Consumers continue to love being able to switch from a truck to an SUV and back without the use of tools.

Excellent ride, great handling and an overall great truck. This truck does it all. It can dress up for special occasions and can haul a boat or building materials and is a work horse. I love mine and think you'll love it too.

This is a beautiful vehicle and very comfortable on the road. It is versatile for hauling and trailering. It handles really well with it's premium handling package under most conditions. The Vortec engine is quick and powerful. The interior is in nearly like new condition.

Overall the Avalanche is a great vehicle.I have owned four between the year models 2002-2009.I think its a good value for this year model.
