About 2005 Cadillac XLR
Overview

Cadillac decided not to mess with success in 2005 and made only minor changes to the highly acclaimed XLR. The manufacturer dropped the gray exterior and added two new colors. In addition, production rose from almost 4,000 to 4,700 cars. Otherwise, the one trim 2 door, 2 seat convertible gives you the same features from the previous year.
The 2005 Cadillac XLR uses a 4.6 L, 320 hp V8 engine with 5 speed automatic transmission to get you 17 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway. Standard features include power windows, power door locks, leather seats, power seats, ABS brakes, traction control, stability control, cd player, and a navigation system. Cargo space comes out to 11.6 cubic feet with the top up, 4.4 with the top down. Acceleration from 0-60 mph takes about 6 seconds. This car also has keyless ignition and doors.
Drivers have almost nothing bad to say about the XLR. They like the roomy interior, smooth handling, and elegant exterior. The only real negative feedback may come from reviewers who feel that the price places the XLR out of the average person's budget. In any case, two pieces of advice for prospective purchasers: bring your checkbook and enjoy.

I really like how this car is made on the same chassis as the Corvette C5. I like how this car has a lot of the premium features that one would expect from a Cadillac. I think this car has tremendous value if this car is taken care of responsibly I feel that one could expect to get up to 200K miles out of it.

I have 2 2005 Corvettes my wife wanted the 2005 Cadillac XLR, we both love it , ride is so much better than the corvette, interior is classier, hard top convertible has no wind noise. They are on the same chassis I think but there really is no comparison except the feel of a sports car.
