About 2004 Mazda Tribute
Overview

For the 2004 model year, Mazda's compact Tribute SUV was available in three trim lines, each of which was available with either two-wheel-drive (through the front wheels) or four-wheel-drive. The entry-level DX model was powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that produced 130 horsepower, while the mid-level LX and high-end ES versions came with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that generated 201 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission was standard on the DX, while the LX and ES models were equipped with a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features for all models included air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power steering, dual front airbags, a keyless entry system, a tilt steering wheel, and an AM/FM stereo system with a CD player. The LX added side airbags, cruise control, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and fog lights, while the ES version added leather seats, power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and anti-lock brakes. Drivers liked the Tribute's responsive handling, smooth ride, interior roominess, solid feel, storage capabilities, and affordable price, but thought the seats could be more comfortable and the shifter could be sluggish.

Reliable, economical and very consistent performance with the power of a V-6 engine. Easy to maneuver and handle and ability to move quickly when needed. Excellent paint and interior holds up and shows well. Basically, the best car I have owned to date.

A nice, quiet 4WD. Automatic transmission, fog lights, V6 engine.

Good gas mileage but not as powerful as i would like it to be. Handles decently. Interior is nice, exterior leaves you wanting more. As far as maintenance goes, i havent had any problems with it. A regular oil change will keep this puppy going forever.

The braking is a little slow. The roll bar squeaks. When you ask her to go, she rolls. Because she is a front wheel drive, she torqe steers. This car is a blast to get around in. I know i see a lot of older people drive it, but its what i ever asked for in a vehicle.
