Overview

The 2001 Toyota Tundra has received rave reviews from critics, drivers, and passengers alike. They praise the Toyota quality in an American-style, full-size pickup. Though not quite as big as the F-150 or Dodge Ram, it has power to compete with any of them.
The Tundra comes standard with a 3.4-liter double overhead-cam V6 which is rated at 190 horsepower and 220 lb/ft of torque, but most opt for a 4.7-liter V8, rated at 245 horsepower with 315 lb/ft of torque.
The Tundra is cited for not only excellent hauling power, but excellent cornering as well, very rare for a full-size pickup truck.

Truck has plenty of power when needed but can be used a commuter truck as well. Handles great in off road especially in snow. 4WD works great. Smooth and comfortable ride overall. I would rate it to be a perfect commuter truck with the power to back you up when you need it.

Gets me where I need to be, love the power and can haul things when needed. Very reliable, has only required minimal maintenance over the years I have owned. Body and paint are remarkably clean for a 12 year old truck

Toyota Tundra V8 4WD with Leer Canopy - great truck. Masses of fun in the snow! Great engine - very durable. Handling in 4wd is great - little slippery in 2wd if bed isn't filled. Brakes - great, never had any problems. Awesome fun factor!
