not much to say this particular model is not great on the acceleration or the speed, brakes needed changing too often, but overall it held up through the years.

This car started out as my wife's humble little commuter, but started to get transformed into a teenage boys toy. Lots of upgrades available, from drive train to interior to exterior. But these upgrades are a waist of time. The true purpose of this car is to be a commuter, not a racer.

I bought my 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage 2 door Coupe with a/c & an automatic transmission in July 2013 for $500.00. It had 174k miles on it & I was told it needed rear brakes and a windshield & after 3 months, so much for that! It took a Bank One catalytic convertor, 2 oxygen sensors, IAC valve, FPR, CTS sensor, EGR valve cleaning & new gasket, front struts, a new complete set of front rotors, calipers & pads, rear brake drums, bearings, shoes, wheel cylinders & brake hardware, transmission flush & speed sensor, windshield, cylinder head gasket, timing belt, radiator, thermostat, alternator, battery, white Rustoleum paint roller paint job & new rear strut assemblies to get it in tip top & ultra reliable shape. It cost over $3,200.00 to get it all done but it's been ever so efficient & reliable with no check engine light issues ever since & it should remain that way for many years to come @ 5k+ miles per year & the transmission was rebuilt in another state 10+ years ago. Engine starts up easily with perfect "factory spec" compression and the MPG has ranged between 26-34 & the heat's warm & the a/c is ice cold! It's a decent car, not the best or the fastest, but it does hold its own.
