I purchased my A4 used with 140,000 miles. I have been driving it for 2 years, during which time I have driven it between collage in Idaho, Home in Colorado Springs, and my wifes home in Los Angeles, and I haven't had to fix a thing! Just routine oil changes and so forth. I chose the Avant for the roof rack, and I have a Yakima system with 2 rocky mounts bike carriers, and a Yakima ski/snowboard rack. The Quattro makes it handle excellent in the snow, and dirt for recreational transportation. The interior is bomb proof with the German simulated leather that gives it a refined and luxurious feel. I will definitely keep this car until it no longer runs! Which is looking like it will be quite a while!

It´s actually a 1996, but the website here did´t allow me to choose this year. Handling: It understeers quite badly, but all FWD Audis do that. Steering: not bad, (you can "feel" the road "a little bit") Power: 125 PS (not bad) Fun: Well its an Avant, so you can take your whole home and go for a ride...^^ or... sleep in it.

Enough power for normal use, but ain´t no rocket. Love the quattro all-wheel drive. Doesn´t corrode, good paint quality. Suspension arms a weak spot, but not too expensive to repair. Some model years present a fault in the abs brakes control module.

Overall, I love the car. It is very comfortable and economical with today's gas prices. I love the ride and preformance, especially the five speed standard transmission.
