great car, insurance the same as a ford mondeo. all the luxury refinements for a fraction of the cost. taxation on pre 2001 models are not effected by the last two budgets. air suspension takes some getting used. ensure when buying that the air system is working as it should be. also check the earth leads and aircon system. ave price to service from l/rover 600.00 but you can go to a local garage and expect to pay around 180.00. if you are heavy footed it can cause your petrol costs to incease!

Performance: Very quick for its size (4.0V8 Probably helped), Brakes Good, Handles well for its size, rolls a bit round the corners.
Build Quality: Fair, it is British after all.
Appearence: Very Nice
Cost Of Ownership: Expensive. 9MPG
Fun Factor: Great. Everyone gets out of your way.

1996 Land Rover Range Rover 4.0 SE in Avalon Blue. this was a love/hate relationship from the start. performance off road was unstoppable, but on road was ridiculously slow and thirsty. extremely expensive to fix and it broke ALL THE TIME... when it ran it was outstanding and very comfortable, heavy, and safe.

Yes that was lower case for the other car
manufacturers. No such thing as a snow storm in this
monster. Caution Range Rovers are not for the weak
pocketed. They can break you. Don't go and buy one
for the badge. You'll find your Rover parked due to
insufficient funds to fix her.
