Not exactly what one has in mind when the word "Impreza" is mentionned. The small, front wheel drive, latin america-spec 1.6 liter H4 is not quite the quintessential rally-car STi pocket rocket. Still, while power is seriously lacking, it still has the looks (except for the hood scoop, of course), build quality, stability and reliability of its famous big brother. In spite of the weak engine, which might I add signifies marvelous fuel economy, y still managed to take my wife, kids and in-laws in a 1600 kilometer trip to the peruvian coast, without a single whine or complaint from the car or anyone else. More than three years after I sold it, and most of all 14 years after it came out of the shop, I still see my '95 Impreza LX frequently, taking its new owner wherever he may command, in great looks, dignity and reliability. All in all, it was a great car!

Awesome handling and acceleration on road/track/drag strip, you get real buzz when driving it, and being driven in it. The most beautiful car I've ever owned, and really fun to modify, a real head turner and talking point at car shows! I would recommend this car to anyone that is a thrill seeker! A Subaru Impreza isn't just a car, it's a great big fast, fun toy.

well for £500 u cant go wrong 263 bhp light weight body shell 0-60 about 4.5secs top speed over 155mph i mean where can you get those figures for 500 notes, it sits on sti version 3 16" rims and has sti suspension on every corner for a performance car that gets used every day an driven hard it is unbeleivably reliable had to change the clutch when i got it but nothing much since then body is as u would expect big spoiler front fogs an scoops an i think the classic scoob is the best. running costs lol 12-15mpg if you take your time 12-15mpg if you bounce every gear off the rev limiter so how you drive it is realy a no brainer lol ahh the best bit fun factor well appart from it turning everyones head no matter where you go its the thrill of driving it the sound of the flat 4 is unbeatable if you ask me having 4 wheel drive it surprises me how sideways you can get it even in the dry so overall i love this car allways puts a smile on my face on every journey which in my book thats what drivings all about

280bhp+ means fun every time you drive her, mint acceleration, handling and braking. Old style body shape but still looks beaut. minor work been needed to body due to age but cheap-ish and easily sorted. petrol usage is not so good but its the price u pay for power and fun. love it when I get to drive it.
