bought this car because I needed a good car for the snow. Frankly, I should have simply bought an audi. The build quality was terrible, handles like a mack truck, bad gas mileage - overall not much good to say about it. Over the 3 years that I bought it, the air conditioner went, an axle bearing went as well as numerous other annoying problems. While not a huge investment, I think I bought it for $28k or so, it just was not the right car for the situation. Frankly the next car I bought - an audi s4 had far more to offer (better handling in the snow, better gas mileage, far better reliability and generally just a hoot to drive. So, unless you really need an suv (in which case I'd recommend a toyota 4runner) get an All wheel drive audi - far more fun....

This Jeep has been a very reliable vehicle. I have always liked the look of these Jeeps. Nothing fancy but looks like it could handle anything in it's path. There are some noises while driving but thats too be expected in a SUV. Acceleration is gradual but feels powerful. Solid Braking. I feel Safe putting my family in this vehicle and driving almost anywhere.
