This car was ahead of it's time and it still does. I'd still choose this car over the new generation SL. I'm all about the looks. Push that button to sports, vroom it goes.

is... Have owned car since 1996. Also own 1978 SL-450 and am about to
retire and want to start putting money into my first love, the 450.

The car is absolutely wonderful. It's beautiful, runs like the wind and oozes with grace and elegance.
Requiring premium gas and a top mechanic for everything, it's not cheap to maintain, but for sheer delight and fun -it's the best ever.
