awesome in one word really. Expensive, not great on gas, performance and looks to die for. What more to say? I guess a 3 rotor n/a is going to be the best thing you could possibly add, but other than that its great the way the car came from the factory.

Performance: Good progressive acceleration. Good braking abs kicks in very late. Handling is balanced with a tendency to push when the limits are reached. Quality and Appearance: Not bad for a 94, plastics get old, but everything else has help up well. Cost of ownership: High, 12-20mpg avg 16mpg. Can be expensive to repair. Fun Factor: Car is a blast to drive, enough power for the chassis, suspension is good for the speeds attainable.

Well. Where to start? This car is a monster. And definitely a woman. It is one of the most unique cars ever made, and it was made with the purpose of being the best "proper" sports car possible. It has the (in)famous twin-turbo rotary engine, capable of 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds, whilst consuming petrol at a rate which noticeably affects the local climate. It handles unbelieveably, when cornering, you simply cannot understand how it can keep gripping at such outrageous speeds. And it looks gorgeous. It is quite a small vehicle, very low to the ground, and when you contort your body to get in the door, you realise that it only offers the absolute minimum of space for its occupants. As this is an old car (produced 92-02) there are minimal safety features. My car has ABS, seatbelts, and, um, that's it! No airbags, no traction control, no warning systems. As a result, it can be tricky to drive in the wet, and when it snows, it's better to walk. But in the dry, it is incredible. Driving, it feels like the car has nothing but total disdain for you, the feeble driver, who pootles around at these pitiful speeds. Any legal speed feels like this. This car is made for much more, and public roads simply cannot take it. There is a cost for all this though: insurance here in the UK is astronomical, fuel costs are absurd (I got 17mpg driving normally), and it needs regular servicing, preferably new oil every 3000 miles. Is it worth it? For me, for everyday use on public roads, no. Maybe I just don't earn enough to keep her happy. But I won't sell her.

I love this car very much. As long as you take care of your rotary engine and feed it the right kind of oils it runs awesome.
