I absolutely LOVE my Z24. It's getting old and I need to get a new paint job. But mechanically it's PRIMO. In 17 years, I've only had to replace: 1 cotter pin, 1 alternator. Car does not like to go slow! It runs best at 60-80 MPH, so I have to watch out when the limit is below 60. I don't have a lead foot, but the least little pressure makes this boy wanna fly! Handles great. Styling is awesome. Looks like a flying wedge.

I got this car in mint condition, so it was like driving it brand new and for a first car as a new driver, it's excellent! Not alot of power, handled well, good size... not too eye appealing. Easy and cheap to fix.

This car is good for a starter car, because it was cheap as in inexpensive to acquire. It was also fairly inexpensive to maintain, as there were a lot of similar cars on the road to provide cheap parts. However, its also cheap as in poorly made. The trim is very plastic-y and its not a car for looks. If cost was your only measure, this is the car for you

I had so much fun in this car, from Winnipeg to Peace River and back again several trips. It took me from North Dakota to the Northwest Territories, so many memories. If they still made this body style I would buy another, but alas, Chevy decided to make a lesser crappier version just after I bought this one. The cavalier is no more, but Chevrolet lives on thanks to government bailouts!
